About
Hello, I'm Inna
I paint in gouache, watercolour and acrylic, and I paint outside - street corners, cafés, trees, high grass, whatever is in front of me. Most pieces are finished on the spot in one sitting, while the light is still doing what made me stop and unpack the paints.
I'm not trying to copy a place. I'm after how it felt to be standing in it: the noise of a market, the green of a field that is somehow also pink, the particular blue of shade under a big tree. So the colour gets turned up.
Real places, turned up loud.
Alongside the paintings I teach art classes, take custom commissions, and show at markets and exhibitions through the year. Everything is sold directly by me and shipped worldwide.

How the work is made
Painted on location
Bag, board, water pot. I work fast - usually one to three hours, standing or sitting wherever I can.
Colour first, drawing after
Big bright shapes go down before any line does. The ink and dark marks come last, to hold it all together.
Materials that last
Artist-grade gouache, watercolour and acrylic on 300gsm cotton paper or stretched canvas. Lightfast pigments throughout.

Art classes
Come and paint with me
I teach small groups and one-to-one lessons in gouache, watercolour and acrylic - mostly outdoors, sometimes in the studio when the weather refuses to cooperate.
Beginners are genuinely welcome. Plenty of my students hadn't held a brush since school. We work on mixing colour that sings, painting quickly from life, and getting past the fear of the first mark.
Message me for current dates, group sizes and prices - and tell me roughly where you're starting from, so I can suggest the right session.

Studio visits, markets & exhibitions
Seeing a painting in person is a different thing entirely - the colours never survive a screen. Visits are by appointment, and I show at art fairs and markets through the year. There's no obligation to buy anything; I'm just glad when work gets looked at properly.
